The DSI-NRF Centre of Excellence in Human Development in partnership with the National Research Foundation (NRF) and Heartlines is hosting a four-part webinar series on fatherhood.
The series brings together researchers and prominent NGO voices across different academic fields to discuss key issues around fatherhood, masculinities, gender norms and the South African context. The series will shed light on the way in which these issues interact to impact definitions of fatherhood and how men father.
These expert conversations will include presentations from the different speakers, followed by a discussion between the panel and online audience. The discussions will delve deeper into the South African context of men, masculinities and fatherhood, while opening channels of communication and dialogue around critical issues affecting the positive presence and active engagement of fathers in children’s lives.
